Paul McCartney returned to his old school, now the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, for an hour-long Q&A with students, followed by a live acoustic set. The Q&A, hosted by former Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker, was attended by around 450 people and live streamed on Facebook, with fans able to submit questions in advance. LIPA was co-founded by Paul in 1996. He remains the institute’s lead patron. McCartney and his band performed an 11-song acoustic set at the end of the discussion session. The set contained songs by The Beatles and Wings, as well as solo material and cover versions.
