Did you miss out on tickets for what may very well be the biggest rock concerts ever staged?
Have no fear, organizers are releasing more tickets for the Desert Trip concerts at the Empire Polo Club in Indio Oct. 7-9 and Oct. 14-16.

The concerts will feature sets by The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan (Oct. 7 and 14), Paul McCartney and Neil Young with Promise of the Real (Oct. 8 and 15) and Roger Waters and The Who (Oct. 9 and 16).

The additional passes will go on sale at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 at DesertTrip.com. (Pro tip: Go there now and take a look at the plan for what you want and sign up in advance.)

Tickets are $424 for a three-day general admission pass and shuttle.

Reserved seating passes run $699-$1599.

The event, put on by Goldenvoice, the masterminds behind the uber popular Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and Stagecoach Country Music Festival at the Indio site every spring, are reshaping the venue to give it seats and more.

Between the six acts, they have released more than 170 original studio albums and sold 435 million copies in the United States.

Here’s a helpful tip sheet of what you need to know before buying Desert Trip ticketsthat we made back in the spring when passes initially went on sale.

However, before the public gets a second crack at passes, local residents will get a chance to score tickets. Much like how Goldenvoice has set aside passes for Coachella Valley residents for Coachella and Stagecoach in years past, the promoter will do the same for Desert Trip.

For local residents, tickets will go on sale at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, online via DesertTrip.com and in person at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden at the Desert Trip Box Office. Note that if you’re going in person, don’t plan to arrive before 7 a.m., that’s when the line will start.

There will be 3-day general admission passes ($435, all fees included) and some 3-day seated passes ($699-$1599, plus fees).

To get the tickets, you need proof of residency with a California Driver’s License or ID card if you get them at the box office. For online orders, you need a zip code billing or shipping address.

The eligible zip codes, which run from Palm Springs to Mecca, include: 92201, 92202, 92203, 92210, 92211, 92230, 92234, 92236, 92240, 92241, 92253, 92254, 92255,92258, 92260, 92261 – 92264, 92270, 92274, 92275, 92276 and 92292.

Be aware that passes are non-transferable.
