Ringo Starr, the man who put the beat in the Beatles, returns to the Bay Area with his All-Starr Band.
The 76-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is touring behind his outfit’s most recent release, “Postcards From Paradise,” with its longest-running lineup, which includes Todd Rundgren, Journey’s Gregg Rolie, Toto’s Steve Lukather and Mr. Mister’s Richard Page.
“I fire them every year,” Starr says. “And they browbeat me and I take them back.”
Starr, flashing his signature peace signs, performs Beatles classics, solo hits and a couple of his band members’ respective hits too.
Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band: 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19. $97.50-$157.50. Marin Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium, 3501 Civic Center Drive, San Rafael. www.marincounty.org
